What does a bumper-to-bumper warranty cover?

Warranties are strange beasts. Each manufacturer has its own warranty on their vehicles that last for a specified amount of time. There are factory warranties that cover everything for three-years, five-years, and even ten years. However, no matter the length of the warranty, you need to read the fine print to discover the warranty limitations.

A bumper-to-bumper warranty is the most extensive of all warranties issued by factories, or that you can purchase after the factory warranty expires. The bumper-to-bumper automatically covers all the item that a power-train warranty covers and a lot more. Most bumper-to-bumper warranties also cover the vehicle's electronics such as the entertainment system, navigation system, and even the lighting. The bumper-to-bumper warranty will not cover those items built to wear unless specifically stated in the warranty.
