How High and Low Temperatures Affect Your Car Battery

The battery dying in your car can turn even the best day into a slugfest. Much of the time the fault lies with the driver or passengers of a vehicle. For example, you leave the lights on, and the car battery dies. There are situations where you are not at fault, however. These situations generally come in the form of high and low temperatures affecting the battery.

Subjecting your vehicle to excessively high or low temperatures will undoubtedly have an effect on the performance your battery gets. In fact, in some situations your battery will not function at all- generally, this is caused by the cold. The heat can also lead to batteries smoldering and exploding.
