Overview of the Operation of a Timing Belt

The timing belt is a key component of your car's engine. The timing belt serves the primary purpose of effecting the proper rotation of the crankshaft and the camshaft in your vehicle. Some engines have multiple camshafts, all of which are driven by a singular crankshaft via a timing belt.
