Giles Automotive Gives Back In A Large Way
At Giles Automotive, we are proud to serve our neighbors who live in the Lafayette, New Iberia, Youngsville, Broussard and Opelousas areas. We not only offer some of the best vehicles around town but also take pride in giving back to our community. Below are just a few examples of opportunities we are proud to be a part of to better help those in our area.
ÂWhen it comes to animals, Giles Automotive holds a soft spot for them in their hearts. Because of this, our staff is proud to support the Animal Rescue Foundation of Louisiana. Whether it's holding adoption events, reuniting families with their lost pets, or rescuing animals, our staff is willing and able to help our furry friends. Another great cause that is dear to us is the Acadiana Heroes founded by Bob Giles in July of 2013. This foundation helps recognize the many heroes in the Acadiana community by nominating a local hero or organization every month and recognizing this hero with the title "Acadiana Hero of the Month" and awarded them $5,000 for their commitment to the community. Education is important to us. For this reason, Giles Automotive has created a great friendship and partnership with the Lafayette Education Foundation. This great foundation partners with educators, along with our friendly neighbors in the Lafayette community to explore the many ways to meet the changing needs of today's classrooms. Our goal when working with this foundation is to ensure that every child has the best chance possible for success.
ÂWhen it comes to feeding the hungry, Bob Giles wanted to help this segment in the Acadiana community and founded the Hunters for the Hungry organization. Each year local hunters come together to donate their frozen fish while teams organize collection points to collect food to feed the hungry. Since this great organization was developed, Giles Automotive has collected over 100,000 lbs. of food which created over 400,000 meals for those in need. The Outreach Center for Women & Children helps get homeless women and children to gain access to 90-day addiction treatment program, housing, and meaningful employment. We are proud to be partners with this amazing program to help assist these women in need so that they can have a second chance at life.
